I have a friend who has AT&T as her wireless service. When I call and don’t get her I have to listen to a voice novel ("Hi, I can’t answer the phone, I hope you are having a good day. You can call me at this other number ### or send me an email at address@toodamnlong.com or you can see my webpages at URL and URl. Let me repeat that contact information for you.) It’s literally 40 seconds.
Is there a code I can push to skip the greeting and go directly to her voice mail? AT&T doesn’t have customer service on Sundays :dubious: so I can’t ask them. Their online stuff is no help. Anybody got a cheat?

p.s. For Verizon cell phones just press * and you go directly to voicemail without hearing the full greeting.
The other topic deals with dialing the “exchange” directly. It’s not an exchange anymore, really, those are long gone. Really, it’s just the number you call when you want to check your voicemail from the phone, though when you call from a number other than your phone it prompts you for the phone number of the person you’d like to leave the voicemail for.
AT&T’s executive escalation department is notorious for “attempting” to contact customers by leaving a voicemail directly through the exchange and not actually attempting to call the customer directly.
