I’d enjoy seeing this. They couldn’t get the original actors but the reboot is a great idea.

Kind of a shame. I would think there’d be a way to have Coach and Woody, Rebecca, Frasier and Lillith along with Diane, all at the same time.
So will they use unknown actors or actors that everyone knows their names?
If this is successful, count on two “sequels” - Cheers post-Diane, and Frasier.
PS- is it even possible to find and see a copy of the last episode, the ‘live one’… the one where every stick that had found an ass reported them as ‘shameful’ and ‘disgraceful’?

If they want to keep the play authentic. The actress hired to play Diane needs to be a diva hand difficult to work with.
I’ve heard the behind the scenes tensions got pretty intense. But that actually worked on screen. Diane was always a bit of an outsider that sometimes irritated the other characters.
They should have Coach appear during Act I and Woody replace him for Act II. Anway, I’d be more interested if they were covering the Frasier/Lilith years as well.
