Nope. The final episode wasn’t the other time they almost got married. Hint - it involved Diane’s mother.

Diane needed to get married in order to claim her inheritance. She asked Sam to help out, and of course, he didn’t immediately agree. He finally agreed, and she fled right before the ceremony started.

Close enough. Diane actually needed to get married in order for her mother to ensure her inheritence (Diane’s late father specified in his will that Mrs. Chambers would lose everything if she didn’t ensure Diane married by a set date.) They began a ceremony there at the bar, but Sam’s head spun at the sight of a hot babe walking in, leading to a quarrel between Sam & Diane as they were supposed to exchange vows. Diane’s mother called the proceedings off. (Luckily for her, her longtime chauffeur had been embezzling the family for years, and offerred to marry her - so long as she did the driving!) This all happened in season one.
