Cheese on Bread (Eve goes Generation Jones)

So, I’ve been hearing about this new group, Cheese on Bread, and they sound just my cup of tea–but I can’t actually listen to them, as my computer won’t link to their sound files. Shall I buy their first gramophone record when it comes out later this month?

No, Eve, they’re only available on eight-track tape.

Sorry.

Hold out for the cylinders, or else wait until the player piano rolls are punched.

Kick ass!

They’re like Mecca Normal fell into a big bucket of honey. I love 'em.

I guess I can’t listen to their songs, either. I’m emailing Yoko.

I sure love their handle

If I like “They Might Be Giants,” would I like “Cheese on Bread?”

(i]There*'s a sentence I never thought I’d type . . .)

. . . Though if I had ever thought I’d type it, I’d at least have predicted I’d code it correctly . . .

I wonder why Angelfire doesn’t mind serving the .mp3s up to me, but balks at others?

Do you have an e-mail address to which I can send the .mp3s?

My home e-dress duly sent to you, thanks! Their lyrics sound clever, I just hope “they have a good beat and you can dance to it.”

On the way…

Yoko emailed me back. The mp3s should be working on the cheeseonbread site. I’m downloading one right now.

Right on! Direct action.

I’m gonna put it on my résumé.

Don’t tell me you’re tired of the Annette Hanshaw box set I gotcha for your birthday already?

Ike I will never tire of the delightful little Miss Hanshaw.

But after receiving three songs from Larry Mudd (thanks, dear), I will indeed lay down a fin for Cheese on Bread’s first cylinder when it comes out. They could use a better back-up group, but I like their songs and voices.
