My name is Amanda and I am an office worker. When I’m off work, I never forget to take a vacation abroad in order to reward myself for the many years of effort I have made. I especially like going to holiday resorts and to Japan to enjoy their relaxing lifestyle. Because of my frequent traveling experiences, I have noticed that the quality of the facilities and services provided in Terminal 2 is progressively reaching international standards, allowing us to feel comfortable and at ease when shopping.
I happily stroll along the terminal with my boyfriend David. The international brand avenue is where I spend the most time shopping, and the shops consist of well-known international brands such as Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Bvlgari and Coach. When shop assistants kindly introduce the newest styles and trends of the current season, I try on various kinds of designer bags, feeling as if I were a model and a fashion show was being put up for me.
Every time I arrive at Terminal 2, I always head for The Galaxy to appreciate the beauty of its handicraft designs. I find myself extremely fascinated by the design of the arresting Roman Church-styled windows and round pillars, with the design using weddings as the theme and showing the eternal concept of diamonds. Then I walk into the store, which dazzles us with fashionable jewelry and watches, and even unique cat’s-eye stones and corals are brought to our attention. The exquisite artwork is bound to leave you in fascination. Also, I have also noticed a newly opened jewelry boutique—Van Cleef & Arpels, which was formed by Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef in 1896 at Place Vendôme, Paris, France. With a history of over a hundred years, this famous brand is loved by many celebrities such as the Duchess of Windsor, Jacqueline Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor and the current First Lady of France. Not only is Van Cleef & Arpels distinguished and prominent in the world of fine jewelry, it is also generally acknowledged as the brand of jewelry for the connoisseur.
During the long wait for departure, I spend most of my shopping time in the perfume and cosmetics store. They sell various kinds of skin care products, make-up and perfume for us to choose from and the whole shopping space is well-lit and comfortable. Also, with “Travel and the City” as the theme, wind chimes are used to spread the flourishing and blossoming feel of summer among shoppers. Moreover, there is also a store that sells skin care products for men, which I can probably say is God’s gift to male shoppers! The store clerk on duty kindly and attentively showed David how to apply the skin care products; the oil-free and lightweight texture made David exclaim in amazement that even taking care of your skin can be so simple and relaxing! What’s more, you can also buy a convenient travel skin care set as well! Since Fathers’ Day is coming up, you can also use this opportunity to buy a gift to restore your dad’s skin to youthfulness and keep his skin in good health.
I also realized that _____ Duty Free Shop specially collaborated with sunglasses manufacturers and ORBIS International to set up an ORBIS store, advocating the idea of wearing sunglasses and doing charity work at the same time and also letting people know the importance of eye care and eye disease prevention.
When heading for the departure lounge, I always walk past some public facilities like the Alishan and East Coast landscape recreational areas, the art and culture exhibition halls, the digital home video interactive room and the aboriginal culture area. Among these, the aboriginal culture area not only provides a recreational space, but also sells aboriginal works of art and tea. These diversified facilities give David and me endless things to talk about along the way; it’s just like finding treasure! It’s no wonder my trips to the airport terminal are always so unforgettable!
