Chemical taste in water from only one tap?

I’ve lived in this apartment since the complex was built four years ago. Recently the kitchen tap water has developed an unpleasant chemical taste–not like sulphur or chlorine, just chemically. It’s strong enough that if I add a little water from the tap to juice, I can’t drink the juice. The bathroom tap water tastes fine.

Why the heck would water from only one tap taste like chemicals?

It’s most likely rubber/plastic washers or o-rings in the faucet connections. Something easy to fix, if you are handy. If not, ask your landlord to fix it.
