It’s actually pretty slick from a PR standpoint. But I think it would have been better to book him as a guest host on Saturday Night Live and then do skits poking fun at himself. Afterwards we’d all love him and could forget about the whole ugly incident over a mug of hot cocoa.
I like Brit Hume’s response to a reporter about the reason Fox got the exclusive interview is because Fox is seen as a conservative leaning network.
Brit said he thought it was because Cheney wanted to be on the cable news network with the biggest audience. 
What’s all this speculation about the attorney dying? Everything I’ve heard is that he’s doing fine and should be out in about a week.
Probably because he’s seventy-eight and had a heart attack when the birdshot traveled into his heart. He’s no spring chicken and even though it’s a mild one, it could still be deadly, I suspect.
From what NPR was reporting today, you suspect right. 
They won’t risk removing the bird shot near/in his heart and the risk of infection and complications does exist.
