Based on this thread in IMHO, some people had discussed meeting somewhere in the Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Palatine area for a lunch meeting. This thursday, August 1 was bandied about for a time.
Missy2U and Porcupine had expressed some interest. Anyone else? I know there are a few other NWerners, but I don’t know if you work downtown.

Works for me. I’m starting a new job in the city on the 19th, so almost anytime before that is fine with me. And after the 19th, downtown lunch dope works for me (even though I’ll be a mile or so west).

Porcupine and everyone, I’m so sorry about the waffling - I know I’m sounding like an absolute idiot - but I got assigned a really really huge project at work - which is a GOOD thing but taking a lot of time but then the bonus money is going to make up for it, trust me 
- and I hate to be so wishy washy and frankly, I have aNOTHER meeting in about ten minutes when all I want is a three beer lunch and sigh - if I sound like this in real life, you’d best consider yourself lucky if you DON’T meet me.
