I’m tolerant of religion in general, but wow. This makes me feel like a tornado has erupted in my mind and It’s tossing millions of things I hate written on little peices of paper around, and I can’t grab just a few of them to talk about.
Discourse regarding the quality and theology of Jack T. Chick’s publications is an ongoing tradition here; I can’t believe you are just now encountering them! I’ll let someone with a faster connection or time late at night C.S.T. search and provide links to some of the more memorable threads dealing with his ouevre.
Actually, simply selecting “Advanced Search”, specifying “chick*” under Key Words and “Search Titles Only” on the drop-down below the search argument, then limiting your search to the BBQ Pit, should bring up a lot of historical threads. (There is usually about one per month.)
(You’ll probably get some extraneous “chicken” hits or hits on “chicks” as females, but you can ignore them.)
Jack Chick is one of the biggest perennial topics of discussion here. It just wouldn’t be The Pit without a few of his tracts on the fire. Your apparent ignorance of him and his works indicates you are new to this forum, so welcome. Be sure to stock up on asbestos undergarments and heavy artillery.
When reading his tracts and other emissions, be sure to keep in mind that most religious people view him with the same revulsion you do.
