As mentioned previously, I have a van scheduled to leave the hotel at 5:30 pm on Friday for Gundy’s. At that time of day it could take as long as 40 - 50 minutes to get there. I have an idea of how many are interested, but we need at least 6 -8 people for it to be financially reasonable. Getting back to the hotel from Gundy’s you will need to depend on the kindness of strangers. Or public transportation. If some of you agree on a leaving time and want to arrange it with the van driver, be my guest. They’ll do anything for the right dollar amount.
Also, I will be stopping at the hotel at about 6:00 or 6:30 for any stragglers.
I’d kinda like to show up for at least something but our office relocation is scheduled for that weekend and I am likely to be at work for several hours on Saturday. Maybe the evening at Black Rock would work, but I’d be coming there straight from work.
Opal and any others flying in: the hotel runs a shuttle to and from the airport. It runs every 30 minutes, so while you can share a cab, it is much easier to just wait for the shuttle. Plus, it’s free.
Sweet! I’m all for free hotel shuttles! I’m just hoping that I will have somewhere to go that early. The hotel should at least let me stash my luggage even if they won’t give me a room that early, right?
Opal, I could share your room IF Wife didn’t object and IF I lived far enough away to justify staying in Chicago overnight and IF gundy liked me enough to Evite me even though I manage to make it to a full half of all of the Chidopes I say I’m going to and have always been nice to her and have my email in plain sight even though I don’t hang out in MPSIMS enough so I guess that makes her hate me, but since NONE of those IF statements are true it falls through to the ELSE where I say I guess I’m not going and suggest everybody just eat worms.
