Actually it’s no wonder ChiefScott’s so cranky; most Chief Petty Officer’s are, and it’s because they’re usually middle-aged men who’ve been in the Navy for fifteen years or so and yet they often have to take orders from Ensigns, Lieutenant JGs and Lieutenants who are ten years (or more!) their junior.
