Chipotle Drone Deliveries?

Per The Verge:

(I wanted to link the original Bloomberg story, but I don’t link to news sites with auto-start video if I can help it.)

So, airborne delivery of biological weapons? How is this distinguishable from a war crime? :dubious:

They’re hokies, so it doesn’t count.

Presuming you’re joking. Not very nice; Chipotle’s has done a hell of a lot of work to clean up their act. Do you still imagine McDonald’s has 180-degree coffee? They learned from their tragic mistake.

Chipotle’s is yummy, and I’m happy – and safe – eating there.

That said, I’m opposed to in-city drone deliveries, and hope the idea is nixed by local laws. It’s just going to lead to accidents. Wait until we have Star Wars or Star Trek style anti-gravity, and we can talk.

Not sure why you think so. The publicity over the lawsuits caused them to redesign the coffee cups, not lower the temp.

That is not what I remember.

Even the manuals now tell the workers to set the coffe to ten degrees colder than before the case.

Given the general shape of a burrito, it seems like Chipotle could more effectively use a mortar, and just fire its products into the air like T-shirts.

Or at least as safe as you *can *be while gamely trying to unhinge your jaw and ingest a 2,000-calorie burrito the size of a VW Microbus.

That’s a feature, not a bug!
