What are they?
I’m assuming they’re just non-jewelry grade diamonds put into settings instead of being used for industrial purposes like cutting wheels and drill bits. If that’s the case, why would anyone buy such a thing?

Most diamonds do not possess jewelry-grade tranparency or color.
They are most likely to be brown or even black. That’s why the jewelry
is so expensive!
That’s kind of my point.
Why would someone buy a cloudy blackish-brown diamond?
Why would someone want a clear sparkly rock? because they bought into the advertising that expensive gifts prove that someone loves them.
Many people are stupid, & are thus easy prey to advertisements.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There’s nothing remarkable about thinking chocolate diamonds are pretty.
