I think shoving your mom and having a tantrum of that order at his age are indicative of Issues. YMMV.
I’ve had some really really bad stuff happen to me and managed not to lay a hand on my relatives or go off on my co-workers like a psychopath. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I have my temper under control.
I’m curious whether there will be a crowd reaction in the theater when the credit rolls by with the DP mentioned.
It was linked by a post earlier - but Bale made an apology and owned up to it, admitting he was out of line. Thats pretty much the end of the story for me! Someone screwed up, they own up to it, no one got hurt, and life goes on.

That “miserable week” comment? That was not a “poor me, I’ve suffered enough” plea, rather Bale setting up this response to the two radio personalities, who have been (apparently) having great fun at his expense:
A pretty gracious compliment indicating he’s far from taking himself too seriously. Sounds pretty classy to me.
I’m sorry was he charged with something? Oh wait, charges were dismissed for lack of evidence. Gee, let’s just assume it’s all true, not a misunderstanding, or something blown out of proportion.
Oh and by the way, “shoving” is not exactly synonymous with “verbal assault”:
Overstate much?
So, we’re working from bias here, huh? You don’t yell at people or ever lose your temper? Good for you. That doesn’t mean that everyone else who has lost their tempers and yelled at people needs therapy. Anger is a normal human emotion and it doesn’t seem to be a problem for Mr. Bale at this point in time. Let’s try to give him the benefit of the doubt. For pete’s sake, he apologized to all parties involved *and *parties *not *involved who nevertheless have gotten their knickers in a twist over it because it makes them feel superior to deem him as necessitating therapy.
It appears they are since we can all sit back and judge them despite the fact that we know very little about them. Enjoy your sound bites.
Way to go, dude. No, “I was taken out of context,” or, “I’m sorry that people were offended,” or whatever. But, “I was an asshole, I was wrong, and I am truly sorry.”
(I do hope he heard the remix, though. Because that was hysterical)
I mean when the credits go by, and there is one for ‘Directory of Photography’, followed by the name.
I dont figure people will remember the name, but to those who know about this incident pretty much know its the DP who was involved.
I doubt most people will even remember this by then, or care. It’s already becoming mostly a non-story, and since Bale had a very nice apology, it’s going to become even more of a non-story.
For those not listening, he says that there were absolutely no excuses for his reaction, other than those who spends the last several minutes giving. He also used the “I care too much” line; it makes me wonder if he brought the DP a mink coat and some candy the next day ala Ike.
I don’t know if this is a direct response to the Bale meltdown (ala Stephen Colbert with Steve Martin), but I thought the non-work safeMichael Cera meltdown was pretty cute.
