Christians who love Jesus

Again, I’m sorry…

Should have just left the first question stand, sorry for baiting.

I didn’t mean it to be insulting, though I am curious as to why he held that opinion, I posted a link that explains some of why I hold mine. I’ve done a lot of thinking about this myself.

Trying to be honest without attacking, answering questions with opinions not with more questions.

Peace.

'Gator:

Was that “outcast” post sarcasm, or are you guys who are sticking around here really getting grief for sticking around?

As I said elsewhere, I’m glad to have you here, kind sir.

Yer pal,
Satan

Hey, Brian? Look up the definition of “pariah.” Jon was making a funny, IMHO. (When I was lurking the LDMB, he and pariah were two of the more level-headed individuals around there; didn’t you find it so?)

Polycarp has it right. Pariah is our local “outcast”. No grief has been passed out.

Sorry, for the ‘private’ joke  Stanerrr… I mean Satan, I thought you guys were into that!

Peace.

I have a question. When I read MKM posts, I hear them in a Southern drawl. Is that just me? Or is he Southern and God is sending me messages? Do others hear it the same way?

Oh give me a break… you need a message from God to tell that Mike is Southern??? Personally, I used logic. (Too bad he’s one of them danged yankees really…)

Well this is very interesting. All these familiar faces over here. Hope you don’t mind if I join in from time to time.

Ok, so I’m REALLY slow… Way back on the first page Kvalluf said

I’m still laughing. That was good!

Hmmmmm… now were getting somewhere…

MKM’s pounder nickname is Johnny_Reb, but he roots for the Nittany Lions instead of the Crimson Tide.

Hmmmmm… such a dichtomy (sp?)

Peace.

“We love Him because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 †

Reminds me of a truly tasteless local political cartoon. A local club reputed for its hostesses (Thee Dollhouse, all you Triangle folks) had set up a senior citizens night. So the cartoonist displayed a cutaway showing that it was that and there and then depicting inside, where a curvaceous young thing was snuggled up to a classic old codger, complete with an enormously large abdomen and ill-fitting pants. She is saying “So, tell me, Gramps, do you wear briefs or boxers?” His response: “Depends…”

Oh, I certainly have nothing against Pariah either… I am equally glad to see him here as well as Navigator.

I guess all of this business just has me a bit oversensitive these days. And, if I may be frank, I dealt with an e-mail exchange with Bagnal many months ago (before Stan and my thread was started). Most unpleasant man.

After his message calling people home, I assumed that those who didn’t follow his instructions MIGHT not have had that decision to stick around viewed very positively back on LBMB.

Also, and I certainly do not wish to tar the people I mentioned with this brush, but it must be said that the intollerance and holier-than-thou attitude many over there posess made it not improbable for some to say:

“Mike called us home, but you stay with those heathens? You must not be what we expected…”

And act accordingly.

I’m glad to see, however, that my paranoia is not true, or should I say I hope it’s not.

It also helps that the posters in question are fairly well-respected over there…

Sometimes I think that single phrase could be said about some people on both boards, but I could be wrong.

I wasn’t going to say that, but seeing as Gator did… Thank you!

Nav…gotta agree with you. I don’t think it’s as…blatant over here sometimes, but it’s true of both boards. (And let’s see who jumps on me for THAT statement.)

And Mike’s a Nittany Lions fan? Good LORD, I knew there was a reason I liked him!

Polycarp–

Just read about him last night in Foxe’s Book of Martyrs.

All I can say is, wow.

Makes the ‘name-calling’ some refer to as persecution look like a milk-fed puppy playing with a downy duck…
