She’s gained a lot of weight since her modeling days, when she appeared in Playboy, and some weight since Firefly. By Hollywood standards she’s gigantic - by normal American standards she’s average size, not at all an average shape! She’s said herself that she’s a size 12-14, but it’s all hips and boobs, she has slender arms and shoulders, and relatively thin legs.

I think she has a great body (and face, and skin) and I’m glad to see a woman who isn’t so small and thin as to barely exist in the general population getting so much acclaim and attention for her figure.

I’ve seen these new black swimsuit pics already, and I’m wondering why media outlets have chosen to showcase only those that make her look the heaviest. This and this provide a much more accurate look at her shape and size, but this is all I am seeing on gossip sites! Maybe cause it’s a cleavage shot?

Her returning role on Life (the Damian Lewis) cop show was where I first noticed that she looked bigger than on Firefly. At the time I thought she might have been pregnant or just had a kid. I think she was also clamped down a fair bit on Firefly.

You can see her hips fine there, but you can also see that she has a small middle. Here she looks top-heavy and a couple sizes larger than she does in any otherrecent candid.

I’ll say it too: she really doesn’t do much for me. I think she looks pretty good on the show, but still a bit… zaftig to me. I’m attracted to more petite women. Give me Natalie Portman any day of the week. And, in the linked photos, Hendricks is WAY too curvy and plump for my tastes. She does have a pretty face though, I’ll certainly admit that…

I love her on Mad Men but she doesn’t look that good in those swimsuit pictures. I think she’s letting go of the diet while on hiatus. And no, not every guy wants a woman with huge tits (my phone just tried to auto-correct that to “toys”- I guess that would have worked, too).

Having said that, there is no way around that fact that she looks a bit overweight in those early pics.

I think there is a lot of room in between Kara Knightly (a size 00 I’d guess) and Christina (a size 14-16). I’m a bit offended (just a bit, nothing to get all up in arms over ) that if I like a girl in the size 4-6 range that I’m sick because I don’t like ‘normal’ girls. My girl friend is a size 4. Not skinny, but she works out and more-or-less watches what she eats.

I’m an American and I’ve lived here most of my life (49 years). But when I leave the US for any extended period of time and come back, I’m reminded that we are an overweight society. And Christina, in the first pic, is overweight, and not healthy.

I was under the impression that that comment referred to not having a lot of body fat, a trait that Ms. Hendrix definitely doesn’t have. Knees only looks sharp if you are lacking in subcutaneous fat.

According to OKCupid’s Tits, Ass, and Cuteness test I like my women “Curvy and Naughty.” I think Christina Hendricks, even in those swimsuit pics, is exactly my type. I’m another guy who doesn’t believe boobs can be too big if they’re natural.

However, my results to OKCupid’s Beautiful Faces test was Keira Knightley. Go figure.

No, that comment is the quintessential “I have ridiculous standards of attractiveness that no woman could ever meet, possibly due to the sour-grapes attitude of one who could never hope to attract such attractive women” internet comment. That’s why that guy’s picture is included in the graphic.
