Christina Hendricks wants to play Wonder woman

Oh please, please, please let it happen

There can be only one!

I found it funny that the article was about Christina Hendricks and it was on the website “On the Red Carpet.”

Hopefully she had the carpet pulled out.

Also, she’s not fat, but she’s way too fleshy for Wonder Woman. WW should be thick, but solid.

That sounds like the sort of rumor a publicist might start. (And note that Hendricks says “We’re putting it out there.”)

Excuse me, but in WHAT UNIVERSE is Wonder Woman a redhead?!?!?

She should also be statuesque. Lynda Carter was 5’9" (Christina is 5’7"), and I’d say that’s the lower limit for Wonder Woman. There’s a reason why a certain type of woman is described as an Amazon.

Assuming that Christina Hendricks is the redhead in question, that would be the universe created by a kind and loving God.

Gee, I wonder if they could give her dark hair through the wonders of movie magic?

Invisible BBT reference sold separately. And yes, I misquoted. Should have located the clip first.

I was thinking the same thing. Don’t get me wrong: I can’t think of anything I’d want to change about Hendricks - she’s breathtaking - but it’s hard to picture her in such an athletic role.

OTOH, since I’ve only seen her as the 1960-era sexpot Joan Holloway, I may be confusing the actress with the role. She could be an accomplished rock climber for all I know.

Similarly, there’s a method for someone who does not currently have an athletic build, to gain an athletic build. It’s called “exercise.”

[sub]Okay, this is admittedly third hand information…[/sub]

No, thank you. I don’t know what anybody sees in her.

Doesn’t always work. you can be incredibly fit and defined(think Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2 )and yet not look “athletic” as needed for this role.
The actress needs to have the basic skeletal framework to start with-tall, hourglass figure, broad shoulders then add enough muscle to look burly without being bodybuilder big.

“I’m like, *perfect *for it,” Fox mumbled vacantly.

Perfect

I don’t believe she’s a natural redhead anyway. Sounds like okay casting to me, but my first choice would be Cobie Smulders (Robin from HIMYM).

Excuse me, but in what world is Lynda Carter ‘thick’, ‘muscular’, or ‘burly’? She’s toned-looking and shapely with a phenomenal bone structure and weight distribution, but while playing WW she was the same size as most sex-symbol actresses these days. Very small and thin - look at her bitty arms! She looks technically underweight there. Wasn’t always though.

I think Christina Hendricks is lovely and all but I can’t picture her in this role. WW to me is Lynda in every way…

I think I recall reading somewhere that she’s actually a natural blond.

You’re not alone in thinking this.
