Our gracious employer let us off early today, so we’re at home, with a sleeping little PiperCub, listening to Tony Bennett sing Christmas carols. Gingered pork roast is in the oven, and all the presents are bought.
No more work until Wednesday! (Thank heavens for Boxing Day!)

Just delivered the last present - a homemade tourtière for some friends.
I had today off, which was nice. Did a little shopping, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, went to the dump, baked a cheesecake, packaged chocolate candies I made last weekend, etc. Relaxing.
I had today off and Monday and Tuesday. Then next Friday and the following Monday. I thought about burning two vacation days and just making it a sweep, but I don’t really have any thing to do next week, so I’ll go in Wed and Thur.

I made the trek out of Sydney this morning (Saturday) for the four day break. There was practically no traffic, which was great. I assume lots of people must have taken yesterday off work and left earlier.
