I strung up our exterior Christmas lights today and no, they are not lit yet. I got tired of climbing around a snowy and icy roof and climbing ladders planted into snow drifts to put the lights up. So now, I like to string them up when the weather is still nice and just leave them there until about the first of December. Anyone else do this chore early to avoid the nasty weather?
My across-the-street neighbor put some xmas lites up today, but I think he was just in a hurry. He’s enclosing his porch and doesn’t have the wiring inspected yet, so he strung lights in from the other room.
I always wait until my tree is ready, since the lights are in the same box in the attic as the stand.
