Christmas Tree Pics

I can’t believe we don’t have a thread for sharing pictures of our Christmas trees. My wife takes the tree very seriously, always doing a color theme (and sometimes more than just colors). You would not believe how much Christmas stuff we have in the attic.

Here is our tree, lit and not lit. We’ve had Mr. Moose since 1995 or so. His tree used to be a lot larger, but we downsized. We now have probably 4 times the ornaments we need, so it is easy to change things out each year.

ETA: My wife knitted the tree skirt.

Here is the old tree, back in 2001:

We set up our tree every couple of years. Yes it’s fake. I used to cut trees out of my own yard.

We are keeping it pretty simple, with only lights. We will put a few special ornaments on it. What I LOVE is the original painting behind it. My cousin painted it.

The colors just work so well.

What is odd, is that’s not a picture of pine trees blowing in the wind (as I originally thought). It’s actually kelp off of the San Diego coast. It’s from a photo taken underwater looking up.

Kathryn Peterson Fine Art

She does some very interesting stuff. And works in all types of mediums. The one in the photo I believe is acrylic, It’s not oil or water color. It may be a mix though.

Love the moose @What_Exit

Here’s our tree, a real Douglas Fir bought from a gardening center not far from us. This is one of the fullest we’ve had. An eclectic mix of ornaments, ones we like and/or have some meaning to us.
