And so we discover where Anna has been keeping herself. One wonders how she ever got together with triad-guy in the first place. This episode did a pretty good job of mixing the A-plot and B-plot. Even though I don’t swing that way, there was quite the AWESOME display of rock-hard abs tonight. Also AWESOME was the they way Captain Awesome gave Jeffster another chance, although ultimately the sounds coming out the - er - band was not-so-awesome.
I think Awesome’s pretty awesome. I hope he eventually develops a deeper character and gets his own story arc. I like him quite a bit more than any of the Nerd Herd (Jeff, especially, is getting to the point where he annoys me as much on my screen as he no doubt would in person), and he’s probably my favorite character outside Chuck, Casey, and Sarah.
Yeah, I thought there for a second Awesome wasn’t being awesome, but he ended up kinda awesome. I’d like to see him get more involved in an adventure, too.
You know, the “band” Jeffster wasn’t that bad. 20 or 30 years out of style, but not really that bad. I used to really not like the nerd herd, but they sort of grow on you a bit.
That was a very good episode and several parts already mentioned stood out.
I liked the remote control gag, its ultimate use and Sarah’s reaction. (Though I was a bit surprised by the lack of reaction at the Buy More to Sarah’s beat up face.
The fight in the car was great. Who knew how dangerous a car could be.
This was a great episode! Several people have already mentioned this, but Sarah’s display of emotion when she thought Chuck had been blown up was truly priceless! Yvonne Strahovsky (I think I spelled that right), besides being gorgeous, is a very good actress.
I just hope that this is not the last season of “Chuck” – does any one know what the ratings have been over the past few weeks?
CBS’ Monday night lineup just keeps getting stronger with all of its comedy series breaking respective ratings records, according to preliminary overnight numbers. Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother both hit 11.4 million during the 8 p.m. hour; that’s Theory’s best ratings ever and HIMYM’s best audience since January 2006. Two and a Half Men, meanwhile, also had a blockbuster night with a whopping 17.9 million viewers, its best since 2005. And the charming Worst Week benefited from its Men lead-in with its series-best numbers (12.1 million).
Good news for fans of NBC’s Chuck: Last night’s holiday-themed episode (featuring Cliffhanger’s Michael Rooker!) nabbed a solid 7.6 million viewers. For those keeping track, that’s a 600,000 boost from the previous week’s outing. Heroes closed out its first half of the season with 7.8 million, the same as last week. And the sad My Own Worst Enemy ended the evening with a paltry 4.1 million eyes.
I really love the Nerd Herd (“80% of my interactions with women have been without their knowledge”), but I can’t stand Morgan and am always torn when he’s in jeopardy because Chuck’s a nice guy but Morgan has to go. Ugh.
Ratings for last night are available here. Chuck was, unfortunately, beaten by CBS reruns; but then again, so was Heroes. Chuck seems to have scored its best numbers with the 3D episode.

CBS is slaughtering NBC on Mondays, apparently, but Chuck wasn’t doing so bad in comparison to Heroes as of this past December.[/QUOTE]
I wholeheartedly agree! I really hope that she gets lots of other opportunities for acting (TV or big screen) when Chuck does run its course. First of course, I hope that it last for several more seasons. Cute show and good scripts.
Wow, I just looked her up on IMDB and she really is a newbie. I agree, she is completely convincing, has great range, and a flawless crescent kick. I hope she sticks around in the biz.
The knockout drops were a type of Chekhov’s gun. I’m rather disappointed myself that they couldn’t find an excuse to use the white phosphorus tennis balls.
