masonite, ostensibly I would assume that is the case but Chomsky at least make a valiant effort at a reasonable argument for what he so passionately believes. While I may not agree with an amount of what he says his style and dedication are a continuing reminder of why it’s important to expose yourself to viewpoints other that your own.
Chumpsky however seems to be the worst possible end result of cross breeding a bolshevik fed parrot and the energizer bunny. He keeps going and going but never says anything that would challenge the imagination of anyone who doesn’t already believe that there is no evil in the world that isn’t caused by Americans in general and conservatives in particular. In a way he’s a like a bizzaro Rush Limbaugh but without a sense of humor or a marketable skill.
You know it’s one thing when he says that I’m a fool and a liar, and that all my sources are liars, (heck, I’ll at least admit to being the occassional fool, for example I once foolishly wasted my effort engaging with the Chump) but when he disses Tamerlane! That really shows his ignorance.
December is provocative, but he provides cites that can be considered and disputed. He responds without calling the other side names. He has ceded points when factual errors have come up (please don’t ask me for a cite on this!:)) He belongs in GD because he provokes with actual information albeit with particular twists. Chumps doesn’t deserve responses.
He made me realize how angering it is to be called a “liar” with no support whatsoever. And he didn’t even call me one. If he had, forget Collounsbury, I’d be going Sam Peckinpah on his ass.
I participate in another forum where we have our own Chumpsky. That is the far right lunatics with a persecution complex. He’s being banned and re-registered at least 20 times this year. He just went Chumpsky on me. I am a moderator in one of the forums and he accused me of everything imaginable. Of course he did it in another forum I am not the moderator of. I am torn between telling the mod and have his sorry ass banned for the umptienth time or buying a ticket and personally go kick him where it hurts.
These posters can be very funny, in a way that a dog pissing on your shoes is.
I will say he can be a jerk. But he shouldn’t be banned, in case anyone is thinking that. I’ve gotten enough people banned as quasi-results from my Pit threads, anyway.
A month or so ago, he attempted to hijack a GD thread I was participating in. I made a point of stating that his drivel wasn’t worth responding to. Everybody else took the hint, and after two or three posts max, he went away. Do Not Feed is excellent advice for both trolls and idiots.
Nahh. December would just laugh him off. December may like to intentionally start big debates and make strong, almost inflammatory, remarks, but he does not act like a dick ant treat the other posters like crap.

I honestly hope he does not get banned (although I would not at all be surprised to see that sometime soon). He is still a lot of fun to have in GD. A great foil.
One thing I have learnt from all this is that calling everybody, left and right, “liars” is OK but calling that person “waste of oxigen” will get you a stern warning from the mods. I have a problem with that because I know I was not lying when I said I have been to Cuba and what I saw there. I am not sure of the definition of “waste of oxigen” but in the sense that one is talking nonsense or blowing hot air, Chumpski fits in it very well.
If personal attacks are not allowed in GD, I have a serious problem allowing Chumpski to just call everyone liars when we post things which are well known by anyone who is not a fucking idiot.
