Chumpsky is one of the most educated, if we describe educated as a person that has read a lot and do not go with the main stream in every thought.
There is people that has gone through universities, but does not understand anything exept their field. So obviouly I do not take them as “educated”.
That about that.
I think he has been upbrought in some kind of mixed cultures/languages etc. It is just a guess, but it is very rare that some monocultural person can think forhimself in a bigger spheres. Usually the monocultural people’s thinking is orbiting as far as the ego goes.
And there has been may very monocultural persons in several threads that has attacked Chumpsky for some kind of egoism, even if the thruth is that they should look sometimes in the mirror.
Personally I also have been attacked by some people that can’t even read. So also has happen with Chumpsky.
I do disagree on some points with Chumpsky, but he is usually more right than 90% of the posters opposing his views.
Unfortunately many people has a mind that is seeking the through between the liberal views and Fox-news thinking that the truth wil be found somewhere between.
And then there are our most loved red-necks, that always want to defend the “going to what-ever war” - we are always right - we will show them etc.
They usually take their history lessons from news-papers, (that they like and have the same views). Cross-reading is not their style, and usually quite hard because they are bound to one language/political sect and stays on that level.
The irony is that I am a capitalist in Russia, moved here 6 years ago. I can keep marxist lessons for my workers any day and know more about it, than my workers who are been grown up in a so called “sosialistic country, USSR”. It is funny to read that some of the North American posters, just are so deep throdden with propaganda, the same propaganda that was here.
And then these posters are using this false propaganda as arguments!
I translated to some of the more intelligent/educated people here, some posters posts, and my Russian friends just could not believe that people that can be soberminded in some issues and then just rocket in the most lunatic way about other issues.
Just like Josef did in his propaganda. The rednecks just fly in the other ultimate direction.
Let me a little bit explain, because I know that the most posters can’t follow anything that is not underlined with an example:
- My workers gets paid per cbm of wood they perform. They know that they get their share.
- I get my share from their work. They know that too.
- A much bigger share. Naturally they know that.
They also know that when I am exporting the products I can give a shit what is the level of salaries inside Russia. Even a child understands that.
And then I see posters that are arguing with Chumpsky about that the capitalists are very concerned about the wages of the people, because if not, nobody could by their products!!!
They can not understand that half of the world, the poorer part, is feeding the richer part with raw-material.
Yeah, I have heard the argument: There is always a 'world-market price" for everything. Yes athere is, and it’s fucking good for my pocket, because it is about three times higher in US and Canada than here. I am speaking about the wooden flooring business, parquets etc.
Chumpsky is going further in this. He is pin-pointing that this is happening also in a smaller geographical scale.
And people can’t see it, because it is not the headlines in Wall Street Journal.
They belive that democracy is equal with the right to vote for this millionere or that millionere.
Jesus Christ! Often Chumpsky is fighting a kindergarten and people are asking for cites about common sense, or widely known facts outside USA. Eg. when there in one thread was something about Chile.
And the innocence with the: “Prove that USA is imperialistic”, is just too ridiculous.
Go to a library and read books from the third world. Just read and You will find it in so many forms that You go dizzy.
Unfotrunately I can’t give titles here from Russia, because most of these books are not available here.
The thruth is, that if US, England, France, Russia (beeing again imperialistic a little bit later) or whoever would not be imperialistic, someone else would be.
That is the law of capitalism.
Still about flooring business: I could sell wooden flooring, Us standards for half of the price and still making profit, after freight and every other costs included. Just for kicks.
There is only one but; my investors would come down on me in no time and I would be sawing in a kolhos for the Moscow market the very next day.
I just want to point out, that we are all in the same shit. Some has more freedom as others, but everyones is limited.
Except Chumpsky’s, of course. And I am glad for him, even if I do not share every view with him.
