CIA - No WMDs; What a fuckin' surprise

Look, I have had enough of this semantic game. Being prejudiced against someone for any reason might make you a bigot, and an asshole, but it doesn’t make you “phobic” of them. If I don’t like different people, for whatever reason, why is it assumed that I’m afraid of them?

If you don’t like Jews, you’re an anti-Semite. If you don’t like blacks or any other race, you’re a racist. If you’re against women, you’re sexist or chauvinistic. But if you aren’t a fan of different cultures, you’re AFRAID OF THEM.

What the hell?

Could everyone just stop it with the “xenophobe” name calling? If you want to say anti-Amarican, say it. If you want to say bigot, just say it.

Can someone explain the last post to me?

Don’t look at me, I have no clue what that meant.

Yes. He refuses to open a dictionary.

You might want to cut down on the caffeine…

If only we could have found out before we invaded Iraq. Perhaps through some sort of…oh, I don’t know…um…inspections, or something.

Damn you! I just blew chunks of apple all over my keyboard.
But yeah, didn’t some guy named Scott Ritter have something to say about the existence of WMDs in Iraq?

What was his job? Oh, yeah, Chief Weapons Inspector for the U.N. in Iraq.

Hmmmmm. That speech was from April 25, 2003.

Color me surprised at the recent CIA report. Not.

If only there had been people to inspect for weapons… maybe from some kind of united body of nations…

Bah. If they hadn’t found anything Bushco would have said it was because SH was hiding them “real good”. They would have never been satisfied.

The warship had already sailed by then anyway.

I read the report, and then to get the “local spin”, I read the LA Daily News. Saddam had no weapons, and had scuttled the capability to make new ones (at least for now). So, it looks like the CIA agrees with the UN. I wonder what the next lame excuse I mean lie I mean pressing reason will be. Ummm he wanted weapons… I want a million dollars… so what.

I saw that, too–it was David Kay, the former WMD inspector. He also said:

Of course, Bush and Cheney still aren’t listening, and in fact are trying to spin the report so that it seems to justify the war: Bush Defends Iraq Invasion Despite Report

Here’s a juicy one, straight from the mouth of the State Department.

http://usinfo.state.gov/products/pubs/terrornet/12.htm

It’s a list of countries AQ has operated in. Quess which country is missing.

2 questions:

Ignorant question: Spain’s not on the list? Who blew em up earlier in the year? Are there other terrorist organizations?

Dubious (Dubya’s?) question: Canada’s not on the list? Didn’t they lose a member at the Washington/British Columbia border a few years back?

Dunno, you’ll have to ask the State Department.

That’s a lot of fucking countries to premptively attack, we better get busy.

Sure, there are other terrorist organizations in Spain, the Basque separatists for instance. However, you may have missed that fact that the list dates from 2001, before the administration’s campaign to tie Saddam in with 9/11.

“real good,” huh?

You mean like These MiG-25c Foxbats? (said to be the world’s fastest combat jet).

Bush’s recent comment that Saddam was waiting for the main strike to pass before striking back makes a lot of sense.

Now, I wonder what else is still buried under all that sand? (and if it will ever be found…?)

Funny, as I’m writing this, several of the Navy’s Blue Angels are making practice runs in preparation for this weekend’s air show out at the Kane`ohe Marine Corps Air Station. They’re coming right up my valley, turning just a mile before the cliffs (right over my house) before heading out to sea. AWESOME!

That Snopes page was posted in 2003, the original article counsels us; and I quote:

We’re still standing by.

At what point in time do you let go of this silly notion that he has some WMD buried in the sand? The people on the ground going over every square inch for the past year just concluded he didn’t have anything.

What will it take for you to give it up and face reality?

That speech was scathing about the actions of Bush and Cheney. WOW!! I liked the bit about Congree having allowed USA democracy to be changed into a ‘dictatorship of one’. He certainly called Cheney [and Bush] out as liars. He also is clear about the USA breaking international law, and compares the invasion of Iraq to a war of agression similar to the Nazi invasion of Poland.
