Cigars of Bond.

What kind of cigars does Bond, James bond, smoke?

What about other famous characters from other movies?

I seem to remember that he was more of a cigarette man (in the books, at least)

I belive he smoked black Russian Sobranie cigarettes (hand rolled, of course).

I’m wrong:

jjimm, now THAT is an interesting website. Thanks!

In “die another day” he lights up a cigar when he meets Hali barries character.

Also is there a recreater of these Morland’s?

If I smoked three packs of cigarettes a day, I doubt that I’d be in the physical condition needed to pull off some of the stunts Bond did.

That’s what you have stuntmen for.

Having energetic sex with all those women would probably provide the counter-effect needed.

The best answer to the OP that I could find is “Cuban.” From a column at Cigar Aficionado Online:

As for the brand of cigar, it isn’t mentioned by Cigar Aficionado, perhaps because (and this is a guess), Bond’s preferred brand is never clear to begin with. From the same source:

We all know that in the books, Bond smokes specially-made cigarettes, but I’m assuming that given the source (Cigar Aficionado), “handmade smokes” in the above quoted paragraph refers to cigars.

So the best I can do to answer the OP is “Cuban cigars.” Sorry I cannot cite a brand name though.

Given the falling rate of cigarette smoking in the past 20 years – what was the last Bond movie in which James lit up a cancer stick? (I’m talking cigarette, not cigar).

One Bond actor definitely preferred cigars.
