I just found out about this book because someone in an on-line book group complained about it being shelved with children’s books. Well, it is a children’s book! Says so right on the bar code – “Ages 3 to 7.” 
Written by Robert D. San Souci and illustrated by David Catrow, this Cinderella loses her whole damn foot at the ball. The artwork is great and the story is a charmer.
It’s one of my Halloween reads this year, along with Kim Newman’s Anno Dracula.
