Back in the 2010 time frame there was a male actor who turned up in a lot of movies in notable (if not leading) roles - enough so that there were jokes about him showing up everywhere. Does anyone remember who that guy was?

That OP was pretty vague. Congrats to RealityChuck for nailing it in one. My first thought was Matt Damon, then Benedict Cumberbatch. Jude Law would have been about my ninth or tenth guess. (I remember him showing up in a lot of stuff, but don’t really remember jokes about it.)
