In a furious statement posted by Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington on Tuesday, the former president once against attacked the House committee investigating the Capitol riot, and said the panel should be focusing on Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, rather than himself.
The ex-president wrote: “The Unselect Committee should be investigating why Nancy Pelosi did such a poor job of overseeing security and why Mike Pence did not send back the votes for recertification or approval, in that it has now been shown that he clearly had the right to do so!”
He truly is fucking deluded. I can see attacking Pelosi; that’s standard Republican fare.
But claiming that Pence should be investigated? That’s fully insane, and any R who supports him at this point deserves what they get when Trump throws them under the bus too.
Not just investigating her, but investigating her for failing to implement the security enhancements he recommended. I could be wrong, but I am highly skeptical that Trump recommended increased security at the Capitol on January 6th.

I posted before my take on the GOP’s assertions regarding the last election. They’re convinced that the election was invalid because the GOP candidate did not win the election for president; however, the GOP office holders who just got elected on those same ballots and are asserting the presidential ballots are invalid are not asserting their part of the ballot was invalid.
