Clarence Clemons suffers stroke, RIP

Story.

Here’s hoping for a swift and full recovery.

S**t.

He was definitely slowing down, last time I saw him with E Street less than 2 years ago.

Here here to that - c’mon Big Man, we need you.

After poor Danny Federici’s death a couple of years back the E’s need to stay together.

Not to mention Max Weinberg’s open-heart surgery last year. However, he had known about his heart condition and been monitoring it since the 80s. Weinberg has recovered nicely and put together the Max Weinberg Big Band. Still, it’s hard to see illness and death chipping away at the E Street Band lately. I actually wept a little when I heard about Clarence. Hang in there, Big Man!

He’s showing good signs. Squeezing with his left hand, which had been paralyzed. But it’s early, yet. Fingers crossed (mine that is).

I’ve met The Big Man, and he is such a nice, sweet guy. I am so hoping he recovers enough to continue with his saxophone playing.

Best of vibes for Clarence. I love his chemistry with Springsteen on stage. Man, how can we be getting to that/this age? Crikey.

Edited to add–it’s nice to hear that how I think of him, **Annie-Xmas, **is how he was when you met him. If you know what I mean.

Anyway. Damn. Clarence, best of healing to you.

I was watching ‘London Calling: Live In Hyde Park’ yesterday, and The Big Man didn’t look very well then, two years ago. I was worried that something like this might happen.

All best wishes winging their way to him.

The wire services are reporting that he has died.

and here is a story on his death.

<<sigh>>

I hear his saxophone wailing in the distance here

:frowning:

Sad news indeed. Thanks for all that great music, Big Man.

Oh, man. :frowning: Another good one goes upstairs…R.I.P.

Crap.

Added the “RIP” to the thread title to reflect the sad news.

That’s the one I’d choose too. :frowning:

Thanks for the title change, Twick.

And Rock 'n Roll Heaven gains a new member. RIP, Big Man. You know they’ve got a hell of a band.

Wow, that title/mouseover combination is very jarring.

RIP, Big Man.

F’cking strokes!

RIP, Big Man. :frowning:
