Is this really the case . I’m just asking because I don’t want to get myself into any trouble . I know it was always the case that you should mail the admin. with any concerns (which I have done) but this sounds awfully serious and final . If there has been a change has it been announced anywhere apart from whatever thread Mu Mu pulled this from ?

I posted this in the other thread, but I’ll post my explanation here again…
Ed and Tuba make the official rules regarding what can and can’t be done on this board. I never intended it to be an amendment to the SDMB rules and I realize now that I phrased my statement poorly and far too generally.
I overreacted and made a comment far broader than I should have. I tried to put out a small fire and subsequently gave the false impression that I have the power to make the rules.
But there has been a trend of posters publicly and falsely accusing other posters of not being who they say. It created a lot of confusion, to say the least. It also has the potential to piss a lot of people off. I wanted to discourage that activity in my forum. Especially since the negative aspects can be avoided by email to a mod.
Let’s just say that you weren’t the first to notice similarities between Prism and Serlin, Drain. I’m not saying that your suspicions are unfounded. And I appreciate your initiative and your desire to point out a violation of board rules. I’m half Italian, I appreciate loyalty.
I just don’t want a trend starting in the Pit.
