Classical Music piece to commemorate Safe Mfg.?

I once listened to a concert by the BOSTON POPS> They played piece of music that was composed to celebrate a german safe manufacturere-the music was interrupted every few minutes by the sound of a hammer, banging on a steel plate (the idea was that the safes were un-crackable). i’ve never been able to find the name of this p[iece-anybody know?

Sounds like a rip-off of Verdi’s Anvil Chorus.

I don’t know of a piece like that.

The closest I can come is the Anvil Polka by Johann Strauss. It’s the type of light classical piece that the Pops would play. Darned if I can find a recording of it, though. And the anvil is featured prominently as a percussion instrument, not just sounding every few minutes.
