I only ever knew her from The Pink Panther, but she was a contender for the sexiest Italian actress of the time long with Sofia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida.
Honestly surprised she was still around.
She had a heavy Sicilian accent, and her voice was dubbed for “The Pink Panther.” Blake Edwards thought Americans wouldn’t be able to understand her. Don’t know about her later movies. She was pretty hot there for a while (both professionally and personally, as I recall from my teenage years) but was one of those people who just disappeared after a time, rarely to be heard from again.
I think I saw her in Once Upon a Time in the West ; she was a really good actor.
I thought she was great in Fellini’s 8 1/2 too as a key character. I know I’d definitely seen her in those two films.
