Maybe I’m a psycho, but when I walk my dogs in a residential area, they do their business (taxes, pay bills, shit, etc) in MY yard before we leave. Then on the way they do NOT shit or piss in other people’s yards. They do not. If someone looks like they need to actually take a dump, we go home. They do not mark other people’s property either because it is…wait for it…OTHER PEOPLES PROPERTY.
I’m amazed that people will walk their dogs and think it’s OK for them to piss and shit in other people’s lawns. If the person who lives there wanted dogs in thier yard (much less shit and piss), I assume they would get a dog. I do not allow my dogs to do this and I hate it when people do it to me.
(The urine is particularly nasty- kills grass, flowers, shrubs. Ugh)
I used to own a house on a small street. There were only six houses on either side. Mine was the only one that had an open yard fronting on the street. The rest were either fenced or there were no front yards. Guess where all my lovely neighbors walked their dogs.
Okay, I get it, then. I don’t own dogs and never will, so this has never been a serious issue for me. And I do get antsy when I take my brother’s dogs for walks - I’d rather they do it in their yard. When I was younger, I lived in a neighborhood where dogs ran pretty much wild and did everything in any yard that they could find (we never had any dogs when I was younger). So picking it up seems like a vast improvement to me. And when I do finally get my own house, I doubt it’ll bother me if dogs go in the yard as long as their owners pick it up. But I can understand why it would bother people now.
Once, in the laundry room of the apartment complex I was living in a few years ago, someone put shit in one of the clothes dryers.
Whoever did that needed to be stuffed into that dryer with the door welded shut. And I’d pony up the quarters to have it run a few cycles on “permanent press”.
