Yeah, it’s kind of funny, all the Clinton supporters claiming that Obama would be eaten alive by Karl Rove’s spin machine in the general election. Karl Rove’s spin machine is in full effect NOW, and Clinton and her team are helping it along.
Thats the nub of it, so far as I’m concerned. My problem with the Clintonistas has always been their “triangulation”, their determination to be “business friendly” has made them into a dim reflection, their progressive stances are so cautious they are essentially conservative.
And he’s not only not being eaten alive by it, he’s managed to come from way behind her (by as much as 30 points), to surpass her not only for the Democratic nomination, but in polling for the General Election, as well.
Maybe I’ve missed mention of it (been pretty busy at work, for a Friday), but apparently there’s been some vote-suppressing-looking auto-dialing going on in NC by a group with ties to HRC.
Has anybody actually seen Karl Rove recently? Can they confirm he’s still in Texas?
I heard about that on the radio**, black rabbit**. This group is making illegal robocalls, mostly to African American households, with deliberately confusing information about registering for the primary. They’ve been pulling the same shit in other states. I’d like to think that Clinton herself didn’t sign off on it, but I haven’t heard her come out against it.
This more than anything is why I would not vote for Hilary Clinton. She is a cog in the political Machine, much more so than Obama. While he is a cog (by definition, any politician is) he is fairly small. He seems to want to actually change some things, while Hilary is showing more and more that she is just the same as your garden variety politician.
About 3 months ago, I was ambivalent… so count me as one voter that her actions have swayed the other way.
