QFT. Main thing I’d add is that she hardly needs to respond to anything Trump says any more; she should devote almost all of her time to the “Focus more on being relatable yourself, with stories you’ve heard from real people across all demographics and, in big brushstrokes, how you intend to address those problems” part.
“Women’s fault” :dubious:
I thought you were kidding. Holy moly.
He rattled Hillary Clinton, firmed up and rallied his base, halted the stampede of the cut-and-run Republicans, and exposed the hypocrisy of liberal and secular celebrants of the ’60s “sexual revolution,” who have suddenly gotten religion where Trump is involved.
Trump exposed the fraudulence of the Clintons’ clucking concern for sexually abused women, brought Pence back into camp, turned the tables and changed the subject from the Trump tapes to the Trump triumph at Washington University.
If that was a triumph, I wonder what a defeat looks like?
So, this last week or so? Was that the “pivot”?
I’m pretty sure that in another six months we’ll be turning the corner.
Pat Buchanan must confuse a triumph with a dead [fat] cat bounce.
She should have plenty of opportunity to do just this. Debate topics are:
Trump did a good job of attacking Hillary in the second debate, but that doesn’t help him at all. Dislike for Hillary is already fully baked in to every poll, what he needed to do was make a case for himself and at that he failed utterly.
Or, more likely, discovered that Trump still has millions of myrmidons who will leave the downballot blank if the Republican candidate is a weak-kneed RINO backstabber who doesn’t have The Donald’s back.
Stand by Trump, and lose the relatively respectable conservatives. Distance yourself from Trump, and lose the basket of deplorables. Waffle back and forth, and lose some of each. These guys are big-red-capital-Superman-“S” screwed, and they brought it on themselves by building a party that provided il Doofus with a natural home.
Carter skipped one debate, leaving the floor to Reagan and Anderson, by the way. It did not end well for Carter, obviously.
I think the debate was a triumph in terms of Trump’s persistence, his unwavering dedication to his victory, his single-minded determination. If nothing else, it was a triumph of his will. I’m sure Buchanan perceived this.
NYT responds to Trump threat.
I see what you did here.
Well, Trump saying that he couldn’t have assaulted the People Magazine writer because she’s not hot enough should do wonders to increase his woman voter share.
I hesitate to ask, but is that a joke, or did he really say that? I can’t tell anymore.
i was listening as well. so lovely to hear a well crafted, thoughtful, cohesive, speech. just wonderful.
now i’m listening to donald. le sigh.
Ha ha! The NYT says that they could not have possibly damaged Trump’s reputation, because he had already done that to himself by bragging about assaulting women.
They go on to say that they welcome a chance to have a court of law affirm that.
AKA: Bring it, fool.
His defense was “Look at her […] You tell me what you think”
He’s practically a Disney Hero…!*
