I find this extremely troubling – political violence is unheard of in this country. I hope to God that we haven’t crossed a line and are now a full-fledged banana republic.
On the other hand – I know this sounds like right-wing bat-shit conspiracy-theory stuff, but I could totally believe it if this was a false flag operation.
Not that I know of. Even the Republican Speaker of the House, and Trump’s own running mate, deny that the election is rigged.
I disagree. A poor showing by Hillary could make it a much closer race. I don’t want to take that chance, and I’m sure she and her team don’t want to, either.
Of course there isn’t. But Trump today attacked the “Republican leaders” for not believing his claims (on twitter along with three more attacks directly naming Paul Ryan yesterday). So much for the idea that maybe Trump would have a rapprochement with the rest of the GOP before election day.
You know if you set out to destroy the republican party I’m not sure you could possibly do a better job than Trump has done… Makes you wonder…
PS, no more tweets in the last two hours, looks like someone took his phone away… awwwww… spoilsport.
Well I certainly don’t take anything serious nowadays that is claimed to come from Putin’s mouthpiece, Assange, without some serious additional evidence. You realise anyone can write an email and claim it’s from anyone? Mix it in with a real batch for added believability.
I’m still trying to figure out who is going to write 9-figure checks to support a TV network lead by a 70yo overweight conman who’s life expectancy is better measured in years, not decades. There’s not a lot of time to recoup that investment.
Of course there have been violent political protests, but they were carried out in support of a cause: anti-war, anti-abortion, civil rights. But before this, there has never been an attack on a political party.
