Clinton v Trump - The Stretch Run Thread

Thank you.

That explains my confusion.

Trump supporter does not fact check, gets facts all wrong.

Lashes out at “the media” and “librul hypocrisy!” like they are the ones who caused this.

Whines that everyone is picking on Trump, poor little thing.

Good grief, grow the fuck up and be a responsible and informed participant in the discussion. Or not. Maybe that’s a choice too.

And maybe, just maybe, extrapolate this into other things. Trump is telling you that climate change is a liberal and/or Chinese hoax, despite the fact that it is easily verifiable that this isn’t true. Trump is telling you that he opposed the war in Iraq, despite the fact that this is easily verifiable that this isn’t true. Trump is telling you that crime rates have skyrocketed over the past few decades, despite the fact that this is easily verifiable that this isn’t true. And on and on.

Do you think that, perhaps, he is playing off “impressions” and “feelings” rather than facts similar to this statue (non) issue?

FINISH HIM!!!

At a press conference today, President Obama called Trump out for not having any basis for asserting that the election was rigged and repeatedly told him to stop whining and get some votes, if he’s able to.

I’m sure that the President really feels this way, but I can’t help but think that the timing is designed to try and piss Trump off before tomorrow’s debate.

Who on the SDMB has argued that assault should be without legal consequences?

People Magazine, living in a post-Carol Burnett lawsuit world, released an article producing no fewer than 6 corroborators for their Trump assault story.

Debate tomorrow, y’all!

This time at least.

It’s my fantasy that Trump goes right off the twist on Wednesday, and calls Obama the N word. Or says something rude and sexist about Michelle Obama.

By now one would expect people would have figured that it is very unlikely that he will gloriously immolate before our eyes during a debate. It’s going to be slow painful agony for three weeks and I’m dreading it.

Careful what you wish for. If Trump does something that crazy then Clinton might pass out from the excitement.

I have a dream!

Apparently an organizer for activists.

Melania Trump said yesterday that if she is First Lady, she’d like to put a stop to online bullying.

Video of CNN interview here.

Is it just me, or does Melania appear to be very stoned in that interview?

Noticeably, Hillary Clinton has again been off the campaign trail, obviously preparing for the debate, while her surrogates fan the country to hold rallies. Trump is a one man campaign, so he has made no time, yet again, to do any studying.

Given that the format of debate 1 is similar to debate 3, but that he is further descending into a realization that he is failing, we should expect him to perform no better than that first attempt. I expect more interrupting, more sighing and sniffing, and more of the useless blather that Trump is just barely capable of.

Melania always appears very stoned. She’s usually so stoned she shows no emotions whatsoever. My personal theory is that it’s how she gets through her hellish existence. Money only compensates for so much.

I disagree.
He’s very, very good at useless blather.

First step- changing her husband’s twitter password.

Astrologers predict a Hillary Clinton victory is in the stars. Well, I guess that’s that.

This is a tabletop debate, so IIRC, they will be sitting the entire time, within arms reach of each other.
