Clinton v Trump - The Stretch Run Thread

Scott Baio is (at this point), the best, brainiest, most informed Republican heavyweight that Trump has going for him.

And yes, that is incredibly pathetic.

Girl accuses Scott Baio of kicking her teddy bear off the stage at a concert.

Mr Trump, why do you want to be President?

REVENGE!!!**

That’s probably a LOT more true than any of us realized before Branson’s comments.

I’ve decided there has to be something wrong with Trump. Some type of autism or something similar. Maybe aspergers?

He’s so tone deaf to appropriate and responsible behavior. He gets baited and diverted so easily. Hillary brings up an incident with Miss Universe 20 years ago and Trump derails his campaign for a week talking about Miss Piggy. How can he be so gullible?

He couldn’t even bring on the charm at a casual charity dinner with Hillary. He told some prepared jokes and got laughs. Then he goes off script with obvious attacks. Totally inappropriate at such an event and He got booed.

A normal, well adjusted person doesn’t act like this. I’m not making a political attack. There’s something wrong with this guy.

I don’t know beans about Baio.

But my college roommate had a brother who was the same age as Baio and looked almost exactly like him. Same hairstyle too, as did every guy of that age and era. This was in LA in the late 70s / early 80s when Baio was appearing on then-hit Happy Days.

Roomie’s bro got more babe action than he could handle. He’d be approached by random chicks in stores and bars. Pretty good bet Baio, who also had money and fame which roomie’s bro utterly lacked, received far more than his share of women pouring themselves onto his crotch most days.

I don’t know from personal experience, but I bet that’ll give a guy a somewhat skewed idea of what women are good at and good for.

No, it’s grand guignol.

Wait, isn’t Branson one of those real billionaires?

Not posted from my crappy Virgin Mobile burner because it does phone calls and texts, only.

“Since we can’t check to see if you voted in three states, you will. If you want to vote in three states, you will,” said Larry Lewis, 67, a former electrician who lives in Hendersonville, N.C… He said he doesn’t know anyone who has committed voter fraud but has gotten up to speed on the issue thanks to talk radio. “I mean, that is human nature. I have ultimate faith in human nature.”

Goddammit, why did I read that article? It was bad enough Trump was that close to my house, now I know how stupid my neighbors are.

Note: the quoted gent is not my neighbor except in the fact we live in the same county.

Wow! That was both terrible and pointless! I will try and remain hopeful that you will not post anything else like it again in this thread.

It’s not unclear: [Tweety Bird is a boy.

](Tweety - Wikipedia)

I read it and my first thought was “Does Bruno Ganz speak English? He might get a gig soon.”

That article made me happy.

He does. He was the sole bright spot in this terrible movie with Liam Neeson and January Jones. He spoke English in that.

You’re just noticing this now?:dubious:

Oddly enough Baio didn’t get a lot of action. Weird how that goes.

Just kidding. He has been interviewed by Howard Stern. He said his friends called their favorite 80s show “Baio-watch” because, well, guess.

Indeed, I’ve been meaning to compliment (and thank) asahi for his (?) posts during these last few months. Asahi, you are a clear and thoughtful writer with a unique voice. I don’t expect you to be quite as generous with your postings after November 9 (you’ll need a break!), but I’ll look forward to your observations from time to time.

Yeah, I was thinking of that cartoon where Sylvester tries to lure him out by painting one of his fingers to look like a girl bird, and Tweety falls for it, instantly putting on a neat little sailor suit.

Real Life Rule: Everybody’s neighbors are idiots. Don’t pay attention to how they vote or you’ll get pissed off in two years, too.

Appreciate the fandom :stuck_out_tongue: and in return I’ve also been quite impressed with the quality of responses and input from many different perspectives, including some whose worldview is probably rather different.

Also appreciative of the fact that I’ve not been ribbed too hard for posts clearly made under the influence of booze.

p.s. I hope this is over on November 9. Not sure that it will be though.

I assumed Trump’s rough edges and outrageous behavior was strategic. It worked for him in the primary.

The wild tangents he’s gone on since the Convention are unexplainable. It’s not a political strategy. He’s just irrational.

I’m glad the public found out about Trump before he got elected. His character on the Apprentice fooled a lot of people. But Trump isn’t that character.
