Clinton v Trump - The Stretch Run Thread

As long as one listens only to the propaganda, one can readily believe whatever one is supplied. And only what one is supplied.

The plan shallot be leeked to the press.

I’m wondering if, after he loses, Trump will use his new TV channel (or whatever it is) to do a Festivus Airing of the Grievances that will last longer than Hanukkah.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Clinton has a 14 point lead.

What a rap scallion you are!

Trump takes the bait again.
Donald Trump Doubles Down on Insensitive Remarks About the Khan Family

And yet, simultaneously, Ohio is getting closer. I’m so confused.

Nah, she’s got better hair.

“Kh-Aaaaaaaaaann…” - Donald Trump, 2016
“Mr. Spock, I’m reading shock waves coming up from the planet.”
“Raise the shields. Engineering… channel warp power into inertial dampeners…”

cough Cubs win game two of the World Series cough

Excellent, now please lets have Mr Khan attack Trump for trying to use his dead son for political gain. Trump won’t be able to resist responding, and this close before the election it will do some real damage.

So the Cubs are the Harbinger of Trump now are they? Seems fitting that a common goat is what’ll stop them both.

Republican Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz, earlier this month, on the heels of the Access Hollywood video:

Chaffetz, in a tweet last night:

“I will not defend or endorse @realDonaldTrump, but I am voting for him. HRC is that bad. HRC is bad for the USA.”

So, you have principles, Congressman, except when you don’t.

Since both party affiliation and who has voted are both public, it isn’t difficult to see which party has been hitting the polls bigly. And the last few presidential elections, party affiliation has been a really good indicator of who the voter selected. That didn’t use to be true, I’ve been a registered Democrat since I was 17, but didn’t vote for a Dem for president until 04. Since the GOP went insane, it is much easier to keep track.

Amen.

Oh, man. That would be sweeeeeeet.

Now aren’t you glad he clarified that for us all?

Is there a difference between endorsing someone and publicly announcing that you’re going to vote for him?

He can tell his daughter that he did the right thing, but he didn’t like it.

I thought the traditional accusation involved sheep. Are we going greek now?

I certainly don’t think so, but clearly Chaffetz and others feel like it’s giving them some separation from the stink.

OTOH, it was also Republicans who have argued that things like a county clerk signing a marriage license for a same-sex marriage was tantamount to endorsing the idea of same-sex marriage, so there might be a little hypocrisy seen there.

Like when he got his wife pregnant?
