“I despise you, you caldron of turd soup, and here is your invitation to my wedding.”
Saying you’re voting for someone but not endorsing him is the political-coward equivalent of “Don’t try this at home.”
Begrudingly voting for Trump, and making it clear that it is begrudingly, is unlikely to hurt him in his district.
I’m sure his daughter enjoys being thrown under the bus. At least she can take comfort that he’s voting to keep a sexual predator out of The White House.
Wait a minute…
His district is Mormon, isn’t it? And don’t they hate Trump?
The Yale Record declines to endorse Clinton - in the best way possible.
Because of unambiguous tax law, we do not encourage you to support the most qualified presidential candidate in modern American history, nor do we encourage all citizens to shatter the glass ceiling once and for all by electing Secretary Clinton on November 8.
What if he did both begrudgingly?
Good question. I’m groping for a good answer, but can’t come up with one.
Here’s the thing … is someone holding a gun to his head in his den forcing him to tweet out who he’s going to vote fore. Dude, just shut up about it. Remember the old saying, “Why open your mouth and be thought a fool when you can shut the fuck up and lead a horse to water?” Or something like that.
Dems have filed papers with the court charging failure to comply with consent order. Show websites issuing ID badges.
True or not, Trumps rally boast about having cops involved to watch, could cost them dearly. The RNC must be livid! It was due to expire in 2017. After 35 yrs. And now it could be extended!
He’s making a public statement because he thinks it can help him somehow. It might just be the GOP telling him he needs to toe the line and publicly humble himself, or he might get a primary challenge next go around.
Endorsing = “you should vote for him”. So this guy is saying that he’s voting for him, but doesn’t recommend that anyone else do so. “Do as I say, not as I do”? Except he didn’t say…“do whatever you want, not as I do”?
[Trump] Wrong! [/Trump]
The Cubs are the Harbinger of the End of this version GOP… and possibly of the Poncey Golf Club Elite…
That was pretty interesting. Not that it surprises me, nor do I think this is limited to Trump’s campaign, but I thought this bit was pretty blatant in its cynicism:
Super-targeted advertising that’s never even encountered outside the intended demographic. Ugh. Social media echo chambers are bad enough on their own, but the fact that they can be exploited so easily makes them so much worse.
If challenged by the IRS it’s clearly an endorsement.
Some Donald Trump Voters Warn of Revolution if Hillary Clinton Wins.
“I hope to God I never have to fire a round, but I won’t hesitate to. As a Christian, I want reformation. But sometimes reformation comes through bloodshed.”
How is ‘‘I’m voting for him’’ not an endorsement?
Probably. But they’ll say it was a joke (it is a humour magazine) and maybe get a slap on the wrist.
Yeah, that’s pretty funny, but you’d think Yale students would have a better grasp on the meaning of the word “indirectly”. Then again, if the FEC were to go after all the charitable organizations and churches that bend the rules in this way, the Yale Record would be at the back of an enormously long line.
I hope that McMuffin guy decides to take that asshat on down the road.
