Can’t I do one more? I’ve been working on a really funny double entendre with “ritual genital mutilation”.
I heard that sound bite and was slack-jawed amazed. Donald assumes that everyone forgot all about all the video (not just audio) of him saying “bomb the shit out of 'em” and “go fuck yourself” during speeches, and apparently he’s right.
The fact that his tongue didn’t turn black and he wasn’t immediately hit by lightning shakes my moral foundation. ![]()
One Day More …
Mystery solved. According to our good friends at Crooks and Liars, Il Douche had a rally scheduled in Wisconsin, but scheduled it to begin a half hour before the Green Bay Packers were to play…
This I’ve got to see. Bring it. ![]()
[QUOTE=elucidator]
As far as “approval” goes, yeah, it was approved, like the Hmong, other Lao, Vietnamese refugees have been accepted. Perhaps a bit grudgingly, there are always problems, but they do it.

They were allies. We (native Minnesotans) could not imagine not approving. But grudgingly, because that’s how we do everything. And now they can grudgingly approve of refugees from elsewhere. Except Swedes.
Sounds like they are naturals.
I came up with “ritual genital mutilation” and “Republican gerry mandering” having the same acronym. And both having no place in a civilized society.
RGM: Just say No. In fact, make it illegal.
The final 24 hours. This is probably a good time to stock up on Alka Seltzer while the pressure reaches critial mass.
And don’t forget his BFF Newt, who said the reason he had so many adulterous affairs was because of his dedication to his job.
We all know Trump will lose, the suspense is just over how bad the beating will be.
Somewhere in the universe, Baghdad Bob looks down on her and goes: “Damn, she’s good!”
Yes, one more blessed day and the long national nightmare will finally be over. Or just starting. Whatever.
“No one likes us, no one likes us
No one likes us, we don’t care!”
Trump supporters know they’re hated. They know that both Republicans and Democrats absolutely cannot stand them. They honestly believe that it doesn’t matter, that they’ll be able to ram their agenda through the government through sheer bull-headed assholery, and they’ll leave all of their enemies whining on the sidelines. The fact they believe they can rule by fiat, ignoring everyone else and doing what they want on a global scale, simply because they feel entitled to it, is pretty much par for the course in the GOP these days. Witness the government shutdown threats, for example. Trumpers are just louder and more obvious about it. They don’t try to couch their hatred in terms of love, or their destruction of families in terms of family values; they just demand that they’re right, and that everyone else is a liberal with absolutely no right to live.
It’s not governing. It’s certainly not leadership. It’s infantile behavior from a party that’s so insulated from the real America that it believes it is the real America.
I want to believe he’ll lose, but I can not help but have terrible doubts. Irrational doubts, but still…they’re there!
I’m feeling pretty good. I was just at the home of some clients - lifelong Kansas Republican millionaires, and THEY can’t stand Trump. I don’t think that “I know more than the Generals” comment endeared him to the husband, a retired Marine Colonel.
I knew that the nutjobs who took over the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge would be convicted, but they were all acquitted.
I’m not counting on anything tomorrow.
Campaign for 2020 will begin!
David Plouffe on “Keeping it 1600” said tomorrow the globe will experience the single, greatest one-day rise in happiness levels in all history.
I have a question, but it doesn’t merit its own thread:
Will Mitch McConnell break his silence after the election, regardless of who wins?
Corollaries:
Where has he been hiding?
Is he still alive?
