Define “alive”.
The Princeton Election Consortium’s final predictions: Clinton 323 EV, 51 Democratic Senate seats, GOP House
That was basically my “best reasonable outcome” prediction for this whole season. The House was never going to flip, but as long as the Democrats have the Senate and the White House, we can get good justices into the Supreme Court and maybe hear some gerrymandering and ballot access cases.
Exact quote: “If only people with at least 4 grandparents born in America were voting, Trump would win in a 50-state landslide.” I have 5 grandparents who were born here, so there!!
Actually, I have only 2, but what’s up with “at least 4 grandparents”?
Superfluous grandparents aside; wouldn’t the vast majority of African Americans have 4 US born grandparents, as would a good number of latinos, and pretty much all native Americans? And don’t forget the female vote. And there are a good number of “all American” white males like myself voting for Clinton.
I think Coulter may be wrong.
I’ll just leave this delicious cartoon here: Tuesday Nov, 8 2016 - Kevin & Kell
She specifically said “people”.
To be fair, 88 retired generals and admirals allegedly signed a letter endorsing Trump. If true, then Trump really does know more than some generals, and so does my dog.
For your morning amusement, from a Free Republic poster:
That would certainly be the shocker of the election.
It’s a first! A freeper got something right! ![]()
In the “two in the pink, one in the stink” sense, perhaps.
Well, there goes my joke about Clinton winning the lean-Trump states of Arizona and Iowa.
You’re Not Wrong… ![]()
Still, just for today, let’s take what laurels we’ve earned and celebrate even this much progress.
The ultimate goal of educating and employing the people is a big one and inspirational to look at on occasion, but we cannot let it discourage us with its distance.
Today will be a Good day and sometimes Happiness CAN be as simple as sending. Donald Trump home as a loser. … with a Vaseline-Headed son under each arm…
Seriously, does that not immediately make absolutely everyone who reads it think of the Grandfather Clauses southern states had post-Civil War to keep blacks from voting? I know, she said “born” and not “eligible to vote” but, since we’re talking voting, it was the absolute first thought that crossed my mind.
Im seeing it attributed to Ann Coulter — http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/304867-coulter-trump-would-win-if-only-people-whose-grandparents-born
It does. Because it’s supposed to.
It and its follow-on techniques worked for about a hundred years. They know they can buy another hundred years if they can do something similar again. Hope springs eternal with them.
Hahaha what a stupid bitch. She’d fit right in with the Confederate crowd…except she’d probably even be too nucking futs for them too, except for the Dukes crowd.
An hour and a half till I go to cast my vote…(I know, real suspense here)…for Hillary.
I’m in suburban Philly in a very integrated neighborhood. This immediate area always goes Democratic. My polling place is in a school immediately across the street from me. There are no classes today so any cars in the school lot are most likely voters (along with a few poll workers and the usual small number of people handing out leaflets, selling cookies, etc.) The lot is parked full so it looks like a good turnout.
The actual entry to the polling place is not in my line of sight from here but I see no sign of any troublemakers, armed or not.
Someone posted a video on FB from a local polling place here that shows a woman taking down Democratic signs and putting up Republican ones. The poster identifies the woman as the local GOP chair but it’s hard to tell from the video if that’s an accurate identification.
ETA: The poster just confirmed for me that this happened at my polling place. I wasn’t sure from the angle. If I was up and dressed I’d run over and see if it’s still happening.
