Oh yeAh, those are absolutely horrible things…worst things ever! Totally in the same level as praising dictators, not caring about going bankrupt and Freakin’ sexual assault!
Has the Hillary hate so incredibly brainwashed some people that they are willing to cling on to anything at all? Wow!
Bravo FoxNews and the right wing media, bravo! A job well done!
Frankly, this has kinda depressed me. Yes, no one should be surprised that Trump is ok with assault. But the idea that this is common among men- just grab her pussy, awesome! or that it’s just empty posturing. So some of the reactions have been more saddening than the “revelation” that DJT is a scumbag creep. It’s not assault if some guy grabs a woman by the genitals? He’s bragging about it but he probably didn’t actually do it? Most men brag about how they don’t need to even get consent?
Ugh.
To all talking about the military: maybe it may have been an issue in the past, but sexual assault/harassment are HUGE issues now, the DOD is pouring resources into eliminating this - ABSOLUTELY not tolerated in any shape, way or form today - on or off duty
This also includes “locker room talk”, this is a NO GO area
Even among the vast majority of sexpats I’ve known in Thailand – and yes, “sexpat” is a common term, at least there – this would be unacceptable behavior.
Yeah Sam, thats because here in Thailand the married woman will be freely hitting on you… lets be real married Thai women having lovers is extremely common…
But back to the point, the only reason Republican’s are now dissing Trump is the timing and the dismal polling results. It’s not that they’ve had any great moral awakening or that this was a finally too much. It’s simply that the polls are truly abysmal for Trump and there’s just not enough time for him to recover.
If the same tape had come out when Trump was polling neck and neck with Clinton, or with more than a month to go, then every slimy republican would be bending over backwards to make excuses. They are rats who finally are abandoning ship because he’s a loser and no one wants to be associated with a loser. That’s all.
The only Republicans who come out of this without stinking are those few like Romney, McCain and (it pains me to say) the Bush family, that refused to ever endorse Trump.
Cause with him being in the election its entertaining as hell.
Seriously, why do you think that this time its going to cause him to collapse.
No. Bragging about sexual assault is not a triviality.
No its not. Neither is calling for institutional racism, mass deportations, cavorting with dictators, calling on Russian hackers, wanting to bang his daughter… Not had any affect on him before.
If it doesn’t already exist, one of those political cartoon people should draw one where Trump has his arm around a visibly uncomfortable Lady Liberty.
This election keeps getting better and better. How does it top this? Will Trump call Hillary the c-word? Tackle an audience member? Take a hostage? I can’t wait!
I think Obama in '08 got about 56% of the women vote. Maybe Hillary will set a new record that won’t ever be broken.
They said Obama was inexperienced, disrespectful, and an arrogant bully. They ripped him for using the wrong mustard, doing a terrorist fist bump with his wife, and the coffee cup salute.
Two guys were sleeping in a forest when a bear began ripping through the canvas of their tent.
The first guy throws off his sleeping bag and yells, “It’s a bear, run for your life!” The second guy rolls out of his sleeping bag and calmly begins to put on his sneakers. The first guy says, “What are you doing? Are you crazy? Bears can run at 30 mph! Your sneakers won’t help you run faster than that bear!” To which the second guy replies, “I don’t have to run faster than the bear, I only have to run faster than you.”
Hillary is like the guy putting his sneakers. Trump is getting his damaged flip flops. And it has been pretty much like that during the race. Sure, many will continue to support Trump and his support will not sink much, but it will remain such a significant difference that Trump will not overcome…
As usual, because Trump only has managed to get in statistical ties with Clinton but really never ahead.
The point is that all what you say has not made much of a dent among the Republicans, but that is much to their shame; but what counts in the end is that a bit more than half of the electorate is not looking at Trump favorably, and items like the one that has pop up recently make that group to look at Trump even less favorably.
I can easily find the quote where McCain says that Trump, alone, must face the consequences of his actions. Can’t find any to suggest what those consequences ought to be. Brave, brave, brave Sir John!
Apples and oranges. That is not at all the same as bragging about hitting on a married woman.
The suddenness and ferocity of the outrage this time. It’s off the Richter scale. Sadly, there could be something to the notion that it involves a white woman now.
Nope, it looked that way to me too. Totally canned speech that was poorly read from a teleprompter.
Switching to an attack on the Clintons at the end shows how callous he is and probably views this as more of an unfair distraction than something that is wrong.
It is not coincidence that, as the election nears, with more people having been looking harder at Trump for longer, more is coming to light. That doesn’t mean the Clinton campaign has to be the source of it all, or necessarily involved in every part of it.
“Oppo research” mostly means sifting through the work of journalists of various kinds.
Sure, and journalists following up on such is a standard part of their job. But the Clinton campaign can’t generate pointers on their own; either they find something that’s already in media somewhere, or they receive a tip and pass that on.
Journalism. They said they were motivated to start looking, just this week, by the AP story about Trump’s very inappropriate behavior on another television production set.
It’s easy to imagine them reading that, and saying to each other “he was a real creep here, too, wasn’t he” and “do we have anything to hurt the bastard.”
When a recording was turned up, somebody slipped it to David Farenthold, another journalist, who has been doing great work on Trump all year. We don’t know who that was, but there’s no reason to think any part of this had to go through the Clinton campaign.
We don’t expect some ape walk right up to us and grab our pussies, so there would not be enough time for us to react, much less consent. Just because the word “no” isn’t uttered doesn’t mean we “let him”.
