On Friday, a federal judge set a November 28 trial date for a longstanding class action suit against Trump University, the now-defunct get-rich-on-real-estate seminar program started by Trump.

Iowa went to Obama in 2012 and 2008. In both elections, Iowa went to Obama by a wider margin than the national popular vote. In 2004, when Bush carried it, he did so by less of a margin than the national popular vote. In 2000 Gore carried Iowa by about the same margin of popular vote as he did the country. In 1992 and 1996 Iowa was easily carried by Clinton. In 1988 Iowa went for Dukakis, one of only ten states that did.
So actually, what’s the surprise? If anything it would be quite an upset if Trump carried Iowa.
No, it’s a conspiracy man. A conspiracy against Trump. The federal bench is an evil tool of the Democratic party. Look at what that that judge did in Florida, gave the Democrats another week to register illegal aliens, I mean voters. 
I suspect that’s the real purpose of McMullin’s candidacy – if Johnson picks up a significant protest vote or to the point of coming in second (or first, if things really go well) in a state, that’ll give the Libertarian Party enough of a smidgen of credibility that it could peel off some of the Republicans who only care about cutting their taxes and are indifferent or even hostile to the Talibornagain and Pax Americana elements of the party package.

Not only that, but both Alaska and Georgia are up over a 30% probability of a Clinton win in both polls-only and now-case. I don’t think she’ll actually take either one, but I wouldn’t have imagined Arizona would be in play, let alone even light blue, either.
McMullen was also included in a poll from last month that had him at 12%. That poll is the last one currently listed on RCP’s Utah page. Both pollsters rate as C+ on 538, fyi.
3rd theory: This selfless public servant is so dedicated to the public interest that in his priorities, the date of the presidential election is easily confused with the date of his trial for running a large-scale scam intended to swindle every last dollar from gullible morons. This distinguished public servant has also informed us that the judge who will preside over the trial will, unfortunately for him, be one of those lawless Mexican rapists, so the outcome will be very unfair to him.
Yeah, I’ve actually been surprised that Iowas’s been trending red for as long as it has this election cycle. I typically think of it as a blue state.

Arizona is turning blue. So is Iowa. Very light blue, but blue nonetheless.
Arizona = 11 EV. Iowa = 6 EV. That’s a potential loss of 17 EV to a Trump campaign already in imminent danger of losing Ohio, Florida and North Carolina. (62 EV)
Trump may not only lose this, but he may lose it in such a way that he’s forever branded a “Loser,” and that would destroy any egomaniac.
