Clinton's add with sleeping children

Probably not, but it lays the groundwork for McCain’s argument in the general election. And it does so in a critical swing state.

She is going for fear. That is what Cheney and Bush worked on the American suckers. Scare them into anything including giving away their constitutional rights.

I dunno. Surely it’s crossed her mind that she has some chance to try again in 2012 if McCain wins, but not if Obama wins…

Can we get a link to the real ad?

Here ya go.

Much appreciated OtakuLoki.

My word, that certainly is a great MCcain ad.

Hillary has acted in a moment of crisis when, exactly?

Huh. Now it does. Before it went to a page with a lot of videos and a note that I did not have the right to view them. Weird.

Comedy gold.

But Hillary knows people… especially the military staffers that are on duty at 3am (that most favored time of terrorist strikes). Just think about how a crisis would play out:

Hillary: (receives news of a crisis, calmly picks up the phone and calls a general she knows) Hi Tom, it’s Hillary… we’ve got a crisis in Azcrakistan… could you kindly rustle up some Delta Force troops for me? Thanks… Yes, Chelsea is doing good. Bill… well you know Bill… he’s still Bill…

VERSUS

Obama: (receives news of a crisis, totally loses his shit because he’s all inexperienced and stuff) General, I need troops in Upper Buttfuckistan right now!

General: What?! (think of the Chappelle show skits featuring Lil John)

Obama: Troops goddamn it! Right now!

General: What?! (long pause) Who is this?

Obama: THIS IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED GODDAMN STATES AND I JUST GAVE YOU A FUCKING ORDER. TROOPS. NOW. GOD DAMN IT.

General: Hokay!

But Hillary smoothly avoids all that trouble. Because she knows people.

Here is the original Walter Mondale Red Phone – Clinton is airing a transformation of the same ad.

I’ve begun to take notice that Obama’s eyes appear to be half shut quit often. I think the 25 generals and admirals who finally came out in the final hour to support Hillary are afraid that he won’t wake up to answer the red phone. Nothing like being in a crisis and you’re trying to get a hold of the boss.

Actually it makes me think of the Chappelle skit where the headlines read “asteroid heading to Earth: Its all the Black President’s Fault”. :stuck_out_tongue:

This ad is so bogus.
What is Hillary trying to imply? That Obama will be out with the boyz in the hood stealing hubcaps when the call comes in?

And as much as I actually like Hillary, this reeks of a desperate moment in her campaign.

It was, however, nice of Karl Rove to give Hillary this idea for the ad prior to airing it for McCain in November.

I’m glad that Obama responded so quickly. I am concerned about how long he can respond in his manner, at some point he may encounter the argument “the AUMF is ancient history. What’s your plan now?” It will be interesting to see if this gets Hillary any votes. We may not see it in any pre-election polling, but if there’s a significant swing on Tuesday it may have hit the target. Personally, I would have worded the Clinton ad a bit different. “It’s 3 am and the phone rings in the White House. Might as well let Hillary get it, she’ll be waiting up for Bill anyway.”

Not Rove, Mondale.

I love that the list goes from Rabbi to Admiral.

Ship Ah-Oy!

Speaking of adds that won’t have the intended effect this might just be the worst possible endorcement ever.

Wow. An ad with clips from 20-and-30-year-old movies. How hip and edgy! That’ll get those young voters!

Its not just the age of the movies but the characters he chose to endorce her with, this are some of the evilest and craziest psychopaths hes ever played.
