Clog my Inbox, please: recommend internet newsletters

In addition to the SD weekly newsletter, I subscribe to:

Urban Dictionary Word of the Day

The Onion newsletter

[Quote of the Day]
(Quotes of the Day - The Quotations Page)

GraphJam and FailBlog

Kim Komando’s Tip of the Day, which has links to her other stuff

Woodworkers Journal, for the free plans

plus several others which I don’t recall at the moment.*

I’m looking for deep thoughts, humor, whatever. A Hubble Telescope Pic of the Day would be awesome, but I’m willing to strain my ISP for whatever is too cool to pass up.

Word Spy is a “daily” (actually somewhat sporadic) email on neologisms.

If you’re interested in lefty politics, I recommend Alternet, which does a daily email with links to a variety of good stories.

For hot, sultry knitting action

If you want techy stuff, there’s Tech Republic – they have a million of 'em. Well, not a million, but several to choose from.

Do you enjoy cooking? You can sign up for Cook’s Illustrated and Gourmet, among others.

I already get the CI newsletter, but I’ll give Gourmet a shot as well. Tech Republic looks like it is way over my head.

See what’s going on in Phoenix, AZ every week.

Subscribe in the upper right of the web page.

Ummm, you got anything to recommend that to someone who is 1500 miles away?

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty has a number of reports you can subscribe to covering a lot of countires: www.rferl.org. They will build up and you will feel guilty about not staying on top of them.
