Clothes that make you kick for it

This is an addition to the “unusual things that turn you on” thread. Many women said a suit or tux turns them on. Yeah, great, but other than the few occasions where wearing a tux isn’t considered stupid, what other clothes do women like guys to wear?

I like plain white t-shirts, but not the threadbare kind. All guys look good in white t-shirts.

I’ll tell ya what we don’t like – baggy shorts hanging down around your knees, torn sloppy baggy jeans, and baseball caps worn backwards (leave 'em for the 14-year-olds). There’s been so much casual wear (e.g., jeans, polo shirts, sweat shirts) at work, that I get turned on by a guy who’s wearing a decent pair of slacks (such as Dockers) and a dress shirt (short-sleeve ok) – add a tie and a touch (just a touch!) of a good cologne and I’m yours. Oh yes, one more thing – no athletic shoes. As for non-work hours,
I don’t like t-shirts. Maybe because I’m old enough to remember when a t-shirt was an undershirt. I like collared shirts (for myself too).

I love the khakis and white t-shirt look. Dark khakis, clean white t-shirt, slightly fitted, maybe a leather or cute nylon jacket over it in the coolers months. Yum.

I also have a thing for guys with lightly bleached tips. Just highlights…I have radar when it comes to that.

You forgot Speedos. Bleech bleech heave puke!!!

I like tight (not too tight) Wrangers as long as the guy has a nice, muscular, round ass worn with a clean white t-shirt WITHOUT the :::hardy har har::: Big Johnson cartoons or some critter flipping the bird. Just plain white and tight enough to see the muscle definition of his chest, arms, and shoulders. Black shit-kickers and well-worn Stetson.

A tux can make almost any man look adorable.

If the guy is already sexy, a shirt and tie helps add to the fantasy. Laying back on the bed as he stands before me, eyes locked, sexual tension turning the air electric, as he slowly loosens his tie . . . . :::swoon:::

Oh, and baseball and highway patrol uniforms.

I can’t believe I forgot my all-time worst.

Wife beater tank tops, especially with armpit hair showing and white, sunken hairy chests peaking from the front.

Oh yeah, and short-shorts.

Wife beater tank tops??? HUH???

NO: cowboy clothing (including boots and hats), business suits, yuppie clothes, ties

YES: some period clothing, like from the Hercules tv show, baggy sweat pants with no shirt and barefoot, beat up jeans (tight, not baggy) with no shirt… um barefoot in general I find attractive…

Maybe that’s a term me and my friends made up, I dunno, I thought it was common.

Anyhooooo, wife beater tank tops are those white undershirt tanks that really aren’t meant to be worn as shirts but some men still do. Even worse is when they are stretched out and stained.

I kinda like the way sweatpants hang on a guy. But they have to be worn around the hips and be a little loose at the cuffs. you know, if they’re worn well they hang on every curve. it’s sexy when not paired with anything else, but a guy has to have at least a little muscle definition, but not too much.

Perhaps the “wife beater” phrase is a Southern thing…in any case be assured that you didn’t make it up. It is a common phrase. (At least here…)

I onced argued with a friend about what a wife beater was. I say it only applies to those T-shirts with cut sleeves. my friend says it also applies to those athletic shirts guys wear that looks like a male tank top. What are they in your area? We both agreed any white shirt with beer, chip and sweat stains count.

Wife beaters, at least here in Utah are the white tank top undershirts, something like Fruit of the Loom. Think beer belly, B.O., booze, and belching.

I like my men best, in nothing at all.

In New York, we call 'em Italian Tuxedos.

Do we need a separate thread for the BOYS’ clothing fetishes? I keep coming in here to see if anyone’s hijacked yet. I SWEAR I’m not looking for tips on how to dress.

so is the common consensus here that the chicks dig the Silicon Alley/SoHo look? aside from the few rough riding women, that seems to be the style i’m picking up on.

I like a pair of nice fitting (i.e. NOT tight, not falling off, not too short/long) Levi’s. That’s all they need. If they have a nice uppper body, a wife beater might work (but not in public, being that wife beaters in these parts I think are the same as Utah-an undershirt). Otherwise, any old shirt will do, preferably NOT tucked in, and NOT with any of the following: Big Johnson, Big Pecker’s, Hooters, Loony Toons, Scooby Doo, and sports teams.

This is only what I want my ideal man to look like. In real life I dont think I"ve ever dated anyone who dressed like this, except for the one time an ex of mine took off his top shirt and had the wifebeater on underneath, while wearing jeans. That was hot.

I like men who dress like grown-ups. If I liked Puff Daddy, I’d . . . Well, I don’t know what I’d do, frankly.

Nice quiet suits (wool or linen—no blends or patterns, please!), trench coat or a good wool overcoat. Nice crisp cotton shirt . . . Well-fitting jeans with a good Lands’ End cotton drifter.

And yes, even the scuzziest guy looks great in white tie (none of that semi-formal black tie for Baby!).

The only think I know for sure is that clothing should FIT! Stuff that’s too loose, too tight or hangs wrong is a definate turn off. I don’t care if you are wearing orange pants and blue boots (hi Rubes!) make sure it fits.

I thought of something else that makes me “kick for it”: black ribbed turtleneck sweaters, thick cable, fitted but not too tight. I love the artist look. I always see this guy around campus with that sweater, messy hair, and black-framed glasses. Add some loose (but not baggy) jeans and black shoes and I am down for the count.

However, one must be careful, when heterosexual, not to appear homosexual. All my gay friends (about 15 guys) wear this sweater a lot, usually a GAP/Banana Republic version. It takes a special kind of straight man to make this look work. But when it does…watch out, my legs will probly be wrapped around his head!
