This thread is not really about education, more about celebration.
We won!
Ireland beat England 19-13 on Saturday, in a rugby match, part of the 6 nations competition.
This is the first match England have lost at home since 1999, and their first loss since becoming World Champions this summer.
I spent Saturday in the pub (FitzSimons in Temple Bar, full of English so an even sweeter victory) and Sunday reconvering, so this is a bit late.
It was a great day for Irish rugby and a great day for Ireland.
Ireland only have to beat Scotland to win the triple crown, and that should be easy enough (touch wood).
O’Gara scored 4 penalties and converted Dempsey’s try, England had one try by Dawson, converted by Grayson, who also scored their 2 penalties. England had 2 very close no trys, and O’gara missed a penalty early in the game.
So, for any Irish abroad and any rugby fans who missed it, it was a great match, and the boys in green did us proud.
