Col Sanders in the Nevada desert

Mundane, this really is.

I was looking at Rachel, Nevada on Google Earth, and at the junction of Nickel Road and old Mill Road is a huge painting of the chicken fried Col Sanders.

In one word: why?

It’s a publicity stunt for their new logo:

Ha. That’s pretty awesome. Here’s a direct link to Google maps of it.

As it turns out, there’s a blub on Wikipedia about it here.

The more important questions is why were you looking at a waste of space like Rachel, Nevada?

Thanks.

I love that bit in the report that says it can be seen from space. Oh no it can’t. On Google Earth, it disappears at the 1500m mark. Unless space is a lot closer than I remember.

Where have you been? (Obviously not Rachel.) It’s becoming increasingly significant. But I can’t tell you why. Well, not at the moment. George W. made me promise. When he’s left his current residence, you’ll find out. I’d start buying up land in Rachel, if I were you. Let’s face it - it’s got a library and a clinic. And the gas station *closed *recently - what does that tell you? I hope I’m not giving too much away.
