According to him, we’re all ignorant, obsessive, war-mongering lunatics, and a few other thing that I can’t think of at the moment. Sounds to me like he’s going after the population in general, not politics. Sounds like, to him, American is an ethnic group.
Merijeek’s running around with his “thing” hanging out!
< Nelson > HA-HA! < /Nelson > :wally
Holy shit guys, I didn’t pay $15 for this crap.
Slight correction. That should be: “I never thought I would launch another train wreck here like this one.”
Sure, it’s picayune to point this out. But we must be true to the historical record.
Don’t be so hard on yourself. It takes time to develop rhetorical skills.
I couldn’t help but notice that ol’ Alde has changed his location to “Not What Lynn Made Public.”
Dude, you’ve been found out. We know where you’re from now, or at least from where you’re posting. Give it up.
Maybe he’s a big Hitchhiker’s fan and doesn’t think it polite to mention he’s from Belgium.
But I had forgotten about the other Pit thread he started, even though I was mentioned in it. If the mods judge that he has changed enough between then and now and still has something useful to say before he starts to lash out (on average about 2-3 posts of his to a thread) then their judgement surpasses my poor discernment by a mile, since I sure can’t see it any more.
No we don’t. An IP address cannot be relied upon to provide someone’s location.
Whatever. Reread post #49. That with the IP address that Lynn traced and his need to change his location to say that it’s not where she said it is seems a bit too coincidental to me.
Just 'cause his IP shows him in Belgium, why would we have any reason to believe he’s in Belgium?
What I was saying (once again) is that you cannot rely on his IP address for that information. If you know, you know because he told you.
If you actually care where the hell he lives, it’s because you desperately need to get out of the house.
No seriously, what does it really matter?
Because, if I claim to know how it truly is in Da Hood, but I actually live in Beverley Motherfucking Hills, than I’m obviously full of shit, no?
-Joe, thought it would be obvious
Oh right, because his posts in general aren’t proof enough? :dubious:
Which location makes him not/an asshole?
Can we get much more petty? Bosda has been reduced to stale Simpsons jokes, and Allbutbanned is hiding in his hate-hole.
Name jokes…HA!
Oh, the answer to my first question is neither, it’s his attitude.
This reminds me of the only time I’ve ever been warned before. Therefore, I shut up.
I must say that I would be interested in knowing why exactly **Lynn ** disclosed this information, especially concerning a poster who had made pretty clear that he wasn’t willing to disclose it. Well…actually he didn’t hide that he lived, at least part time, in Belgium, but he’s unwilling to mention his country of origin. What if he has been posting from this country? Would have it been disclosed too? Surely, the board administrtors should have a good reason to publically disclose informations they can have about us?
Actually, they do not. But you should not have posted that in any case. From the Privacy Policy:
I agree with this - very strongly.

Shodan
The Privacy Policy gives examples of what the Reader considers to be personal information, e.g., “We do not and will not collect your name, E-mail address, or any other personal information without your consent”, “personal information such as street and/or E-mail address, phone number, consumer preferences, etc.”. It further notes that “our server automatically logs your Internet domain or address (IP address) and the Web location you clicked from, so we can tell how many people visit each page and how they find us. If you click on an ad, your “click-through” is recorded so we can tell advertisers how many people are responding to their ads. Neither of these procedures identifies you personally or collects any personal information about you.”
So it’s pretty clear what kinds of information the Reader considers personal, and what it doesn’t.
It’s not surprising that the two of you object. I just did a reverse DNS search on you both, and the results were the same:
It is correct that the IP in se reveals no personal information. But when you look up the IP and reveal to the world where the person was ostensibly located, that is personal information. The privacy policy also doesn’t specify that it will not reveal whether people are abused spouses, but do you think that an administrator ought to announce that after having looked into it, he found that So-and-so is an abused spouse?
